Our Classes

The Crèche

The Penguins (0 – 1’s)

We provide a colourful, sociable and most importantly, a comfortable environment for our children to develop. With plenty of speech and physical stimulation (songs, books, mirrors, soft toys, and so on) the child’s development is enriched. Our policy is to follow the individual needs of each child.

The Bumblebees (1-2’s)

This is the first preschool class. For this age group, we provide specific materials to aid the all-round development. These include psychomotor skills, communication and numbers, to mention a few. Our main aim is to encourage the children to become independent through interaction with their peers and the environment, such as washing of hands, and toilet training, as well as identifying the first few numbers and letters (using the jolly phonics approach).

The Butterflies (2-3’s)

This is our second preschool class. Here we provide resources to prepare the children socially and academically for the early years foundation stage. We continue to enhance their interpersonal skills and the environment using a varied range of teaching styles techniques. We also consolidate on identifying the first few numbers and letters (using the jolly phonics approach) and writing them. Story time expands their vocabulary and imagination.

The Eagles (Nursery 1) 3-4’s

Having gone through preschool, the children now have a broad understanding of the schools expectations. We now introduce the children to individual subjects which include reading, writing, numbers, social, health and nature studies to name a few. This allows us to work in more depth in specific areas at a time. Art and craft classes are more fun at this stage and expand the children’s aptitude for creativity in all areas.

The Falcons (Nursery 1) 4-5’s

This is the last stage of nursery school. Here, the children consolidate on all that has been learnt in all their years in crèche and nursery school. Their wide imagination and creativity allows them to see a lot of these things from a different perspective. We also introduce the children to the primary school curriculum and what is expected of them.

After-School care and study sessions (for children from 3 to 11)

We offer after-school childcare for children aged over 3 up to 11, allowing them to catch up on school homework using various resources including the internet.

We also offer individual personalized tutoring to children aged 3 up to 11. At the study sessions we aim to extract children’s full potential by tailoring individual learning plans (ILP’s) for each child. This involves:

  • A great start

Beginning at a point where the child is personally comfortable we allow the child to build confidence. This point is decided by an assessment.

  • Progress

Having achieved confidence from a great start, the child’s work will then broaden and deepen at a steady pace, challenging the child effectively. The child will attend a session once or twice a week, but will have to complete some set work at their own time every other day, though tutor help is only a click or call away if required. This will build their study skills for more advanced independent study.

  • Consistency and efficiency

As children continue to complete individually planned tasks regularly, they will master mathematical skills. They will be encouraged and expected to complete tasks and assessments within time constraints to continually progress through the various levels. This will further improve their confidence but most importantly will prepare them for the pressure of exams and life in general.

  • A brighter future

Equipping a child with the skills to study independently is the key to a better future! At our study sessions we aim to do just that!
